This tool includes a simple checklist for assessing over 40 specific social skills for children ages 4-10. Columns are provided for marking progress relative to level of independence. Each skills is categorized according to the IMAGINE framework: Initiaing interactions, Maintaining interactions, Advocating/ resolving conflict, Getting regulated, Interpreting nonverbals, Negotiating space, and Experiencing humor. This checklist may be used to assess the needs of a given child, group or classroom and the areas of challenge identified can then be addressed using the activities found in the The Social Adventures App because it is organized in the same way!

These handy visuals are a great way to support children thoughout the day. The keychain visuals can be used to provide support “in the moment” for a particular child or small group, while the magnets are a great way to provide reminders in the kitchen, on a magnetic board in a playroom, or wherever they might be helpful.
